How to get to Hanover and to the conference...

Hanover, train station
Here are some hints (and
weblinks) that may help you organise your trip to Hanover. Please
contact us if you need further advice on
travel issues.
-
Hanover airport (HAJ)
website:
http://www.hannover-airport.de/ (German),
http://www.hannover-airport.de/index.php?id=5&L=1 (English)
-
Hapag Lloyd Express (http://www.hlx.com)
offers direct (and often fairly cheap) connections to Hanover airport
(HAJ) from Manchester (MAN), Newcastle (NCL), Milan Malpensa (MXP), Pisa
(PSA), Rome (CIA), Venice, Paris Orly (ORY), Salzburg (SZG), Stuttgart
(STR), and Stockholm (ARN).
-
British Airways (http://www.britishairways.com)
connects Hanover with a number of cities in the UK, for example Belfast,
Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, and Manchester.
-
For German train connections and
online timetables, please check
http://www.bahn.de (German) or
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en (English).
-
You might also consider flying into Hamburg (http://www.hamburg-airport.de)
or Berlin (http://www.berlin-airport.de)
and then take a fast train to Hanover
(journey time roughly 1.5 hours).
-
If you travel by car, you might want to consult a
route planner, such as Map24 at
http://www.de.map24.com/ (German) or
http://www.uk.map24.com/
(English). Please enter the following address in the search window:
Königsworther Platz 1, 30167 Hannover. For Hotel Körner, please type in
Körnerstr., 30159 Hannover.
